Storyboards...

These are out first draft storyboards for the narrative for out music video...
These will more than likely change when we start recording. We learnt this last year when we were recording our title sequences. We created storyboards, but when it came to recording, we hardly followed them at all. However, it is good to have a plan to work along with so we get an idea of what we had originally in mind. These are out storyboards...

Digipak first draft...

In Sinead's lessons, we have been working on our digipak's and presenting them step by step to the class as we went a long. For the style of our artist, I knew that I wanted limited colouring in the cover of my digipak.

As you can see from my first draft, there is a limit of colour. The scenery and locations used in my digipak so far, link to our Artist name 'Waves'. the use of the picture of the waves, and our lead singer in the band at the beach ties in nicely with our artist name and profile.
I really like the matching disk and spine design as it matches the colour scheme of the Sepia effect that re-occurs throughout our digipak. I still need to add an image on the top right panel and a colour/pattern on the disk holder. Also, from my feedback, myself and my class mates are still unsure on the bottom left panel.

Mood board...

When planning our mood board, we wanted to go with a different approach to it. When researching, and creating our artist and it's profile, we knew that fashion would play a big part in our band it's style of music/interests. We looked into Two Door Cinema Club's style and we realised they wore a lot of smart attire, such as blazers/brogues/pastel chinos. Their style inspired us, therefore, in our photo-shoots and video, our band all be wearing similar styled clothes.

When creating our mood board, we noticed a lack of colour and life to it. It didn't really sell our artist, especially form an audience's perspective. Therefore, as fashion and image plays a huge role within our artist, we decided to dress our mood board to create a life-like band member.

Student/Teacher feedback - 3/11/14

In Monday's lesson, Shaun and I went through my blog and picked out the positive and negative elements of my blog. We noticed that there were a few posts missing to do with the theory side, as well as a lack of band profiling and band style related posts.
